Police lifts ban on commercial motorcycling to ply certain major streets.

Monrovia, Liberia – The Inspector General of Police lifts ban on commercial motorcycling to ply certain major streets, including ELWA to Red-light and up to the Freeport of Monrovia.

The decision by the LNP followed a mass meeting with commercial motorcyclists at the Samuel K Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

The plying of motorbikes by commercial motorcyclists which was halted during the regime of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf witnessed a lot of accidents in several quarters of the city and its environs.

Speaking at the meeting, Inspector General Patrick Sudue mandated Liberian commercial motorcyclists to ride from Red Light to ELWA Junction with a caveat of only the driver and a passenger.

Inspector Sudue said the same opportunities are afforded to them from Red Light to Freeport.
