House Summons Authorities Of Farming-ton Hotel On Allegation Of Bad Labor Practice

Monrovia, Liberia-The House of Representatives has with immediate effect cited authorities of Farmington Hotel in Margibi County on allegations of bad labor against employees and unruly acts against Representative Ivar Jones.

The plenary’s decision is based on a communication to the august body by Representative Jones of Margibi County District 2.

Representative Ivar Jones told the House’s plenary Tuesday, that the employees confirmed the bad labor practice meted against them by management during their recent National Democratic Institute retreat at the hotel.

According to him, an attempt to ascertain the facts from the hotel management was resisted after a private security guard assaulted him.

He termed the assault as disrespectful and needed his colleagues to arrest the situation in order to prevent recurrence.

Meanwhile authorities of Farmington Hotel are expected to appear before the House of Representatives this Thursday.
