Sierra Leone secured first win against Guinea Bissau in WAFU U-20 Men’s cup

Monrovia-Sierra Leone edged Guinea Bissau 2-1 at the SKD Sports Complex on Tuesday evening to book their first win in the 2018 edition of the Wafu U-20 Men’s nation Cup.

It was Alusine Koromah and Rodney Michael 28 and 43 minutes net getters that sent Sierra Leone two goals ahead of their visitors, Guinea Bissau in the first half.

The two first half goals secured the Sierra Leonean all three points at the hands of Guinea Bissau on Tuesday at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville City.

Back from break, Sierra Leone got reduced to 10 men, something that saw Guinea Bissau capitalized on to reduce the score line that saw the match ended 2-1.

The win The U-20 National Team of Sierra Leone has recorded their first win in the 2018 Wafu Zone A U-20 tournament.

Sierra Lone now sits second on Group A table with three points tie with Cote d’Iviore at the top while Guinea Bissau sits third on the log as Liberia managed the bottom of the table in their own home.

More action comes alive (today) Wednesday at the same venue, SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville City.

In the day’s first game, Senegal will battle Mali in a crunch encounter while Gambia sought things out with Guinea in the last showpiece of the day.
