Monrovia-The Leadership of the House of Representatives has been authorized to further probe a justice ministry opinion regarding the loan agreement between government and Eton Finance PTE.

A recent communication to the legislature by President George Weah confirmed the loan agreement between Liberia and Eton Finance.

The loan estimated at a little over 536 million United States dollars when negotiated and approved will go towards the pavement of the costal highways and the construction of mini stadiums in some counties.

Justice Ministry in its opinion Tuesday, said the loan deal being is legal.

The Justice Ministry’s opinion under the signature of Minister Musa Dean further encouraged that body to proceed with the ratification.

However, a motion by Montserrado County District Eight Representative Acarous Gray was later amended by his fellow Lawmaker Larry Younquoi.

Representative Younquoi in his amendment termed the Justice Ministry’s opinion to that body as unprecedented.
