Cestos City-The Liberia Immigration Service in River Cess County has alarmed over the entry of aliens into the county.
A release issued by the Liberia Immigration Service says it continues to observe the influx of Ghanaian nationals at various mining sites in River Cess County without legal documentations.
According to reports, there is an increasing number of Ghanaian Nationals at various mining sites in the southeastern region of Liberia than Liberian Citizens.
Col Tokpa Koffa, head of the Immigration Service in River Cess County said failure of the aliens to obtain operational permit violates the Alien and Nationality law of Liberia.
Col Koffa further warned those housing the illegal Ghanaian miners to desist or risk being affected by measures put in place by the Liberia Immigration Service.
OK FM River Cess County reporter, Aaron Geezay said though there has been no arrest made so far, the Immigration Service has promised legal actions against illegal miners who fail to regularize their status in a stipulated time frame.
