Monrovia-A former official of River Cess County, who is battling paralysis has accused the county leadership of abandonment.

Wallace Joe, 69 was struck by a strange illness in 2009, leaving him physically disabled.
In an interview with OK FM recently, Mr. Joe said he got attacked by the sickness while serving as County Inspector for River Cess.
According to old man Wallace Joe, he was informed that his condition could be treated traditionally, but the application of herbal medicines has made no impact so far.
In a rather disappointing tone, the former government official told our reporter that only former Cestos City Mayor, Sarah Zeo and Civil Society Activist, Oju Williams have since identified with him.
Like blind Paramount Chief, Norah Gaye, Joe said his name was removed from government payroll few months into his ailment.
Before assuming the post of County Inspector, the ailing man served in various government positions in River Cess for 37 years, including City Mayor of Cestos City.
