The Civil law court at the temple of Justice in Monrovia on Friday, September 28,2018 placed a preliminary injunction on the Liberia National Student Union , LINSU’s 14th Congress after some contenders felt disenchanted about the form and manner the Congress Preparatory Committee was handling the nomination process.

Nevertheless, the LINSU’s 14th Congress was held at the University of Liberia Fendell Campus on Saturday, September 29.

Those who went unopposed were elected on white ballot.

They are Mohammed Kamara-President, Vick June Wutoh-Vice President for International Affairs, Daniel Wamah-Vice President for National Affairs, Isaac Muapoh-Secretary General and Jah Beyan-Financial Secretary.

An Aggrieved member, who was vying for the presidency of LINSU, Ernest Duku Jallah told this station on  Sunday that he and 15 other entries were being denied with no genuine reasons by the Congress Preparatory Committee.

According to him, he and sheriff were being chased on the day of the voting process while trying to inform the body about the order of the court.

He indicated that the both sides are expected to appear in court on October 10, 2018.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Congress Preparatory Committee, James Fallah stated that those entries being denied were not in line with the constitution of the Liberia National Student Union.

According to Fallah, there was no injunction placed on the process noting that the election of LINSU was conducted in a transparent manner void of interference.
