According to Commerce Minister Wilson Tarpeh, the ministry in collaboration with the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company has already addressed the increment of petroleum products in Liberia.

A recent government circular now states that the retail pump price for a gallon of gasoline has increased from US$3.55 or its Liberian dollar equivalence of LD$540.00 to US$3.70 or its Liberian equivalence of LD580.00.

The retail pump price for a gallon of diesel fuel has also increased from US$3.70 or its Liberian dollar equivalence of $560.00 to US$3.95 or its Liberian dollar equivalence of LD615.00.

The minister further mentioned that a team of commerce inspectors have been deployed to ensure that the new circular issued by the ministry is adhered to by top petroleum importers.

Meanwhile, Minister Wilson Tarpeh has disclosed that the small medium size business loan echoed by President Weah will shortly begin.

While commenting on other issue, Minister Tarpeh added that the Ministry has also set prices of major commodities both in US dollars and Liberian Dollars.
