By intern Cyrus

Lofa County Representative, Francis Nyumalin says, he fled his home in fear Tuesday evening hours after unknown armed men reportedly visited his home in search of him.

Representative Nyumalin told OK FM 99.5 that his wife had called him at about 8:15 PM to inform him of the unauthorized entry into their premises of about five unknown armed men on-board an unidentified vehicle requesting to see him.

Representative  Nyumalin quoted his wife as saying that the men refused to give reasons for their search after series of questions but later left with a statement  that “it was good that the home of the Representative has been recognized’’, promising to return in subsequent time.

According to him, the incident at his residence Tuesday evening was the second of its kind.

I was advice to keep away from home because sources hinted me that unknown men were planning to visit my home; a situation that’s worried me, my wife, including my children.

So, there were five unknown gun men who visit my home Tuesday evening. For what I don’t know but when they ask for me and could not locate me, they were heard saying at least we know his house.

It is not because am speaking on the radio, but is just to let the relevant authorities know what is happening.

I am afraid because of the current situation, and even my family is not safe for now.

Representative Nyumalin recalled that prior to the June 7 protest, a threat was issued on his life by an unknown individual that any violence against the government resulting from the protest will result to the burning of his home.
