Four PSU Officers incarcerated for illegal discharge of firearms against Kingsville protesters

The Monrovia City Court Judge Kennedy Peabody has ordered the incarceration of four police officers linked to the shooting and alleged killing of one person in  Kingsville, Montserrado County.

Officers Emmanuel Melikamue, Morris Dahn, Josephus Lewis and Thompson Pobleh were disrobed by authorities of the Liberia National Police and investigated for their link.

According to Police investigation, Defendant Melikamue and others were charged for carelessly causing the death of Abraham Tumay and inflicting serious bodily injuries on two persons, Saah Saah and Dave Mombo during the Kingsville Protest.

Police initial investigation established that on June 24, 2019, Citizens of Kingsville protested in demand for Justice for the death of two children, Thomas Kollie and Elijah Poluma.

Investigation revealed that the Children went missing on Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31 2019, until their decomposed bodies were discovered on June 3, 2019.

Recently, residents of Kingsville blocked the road leading from the Redlight commercial hub onto Kakata, Margibi County, in demand of justice over the mysterious killing of the two kids, when police officers brought in to quell the impasse allegedly resorted to using live bullets to disperse the crowd of protesters.
