House Speaker Koffa appoints Representative Koon as chair of ad-hoc committee on inauguration

Monrovia, Liberia – Representative Richard Nagbe Koon of Montserrado County Electoral District #11 has been named by House Speaker Cllr. Fonati Koffa as the chair of the committee on inauguration at the 55th Legislature.

Additionally, he selected Representatives Samuel Enders, Emmanuel Dahn, and Julie Wiah as members of the committee on inauguration and Representative Moima Briggs-Mensah as co-chair.

It is Speaker Koffa’s belief that the members of the designated committee will make a major contribution to the success of the inauguration, given their abilities and dedication.

During Thursday’s January 18, 2024, plenary sitting, Speaker Koffa announced the creation of the inauguration committee, an ad hoc body that also includes the Committee on Administration.

In order to ensure a successful program on the grounds of the Capitol Building on Monday, January 22, 2024, the committee has been assigned the job of closely collaborating with the joint transitional inaugural team from the Executive Branch.

The committee has also been assigned the responsibility of assisting with different areas of the inaugural proceedings, collaborating with the joint transitional inaugural team, and enhancing the program’s overall success.
