Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire reiterated their dedication to promoting security, agriculture, and peace.

Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire – In the Ivorian capital of Abidjan, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, President Joseph Boakai and a few other government officials arrived in Côte d’Ivoire.

Ambassador Willie-Mae Tolbert King of Liberia, and representatives of Côte d’Ivoire greeted President Joseph Nyumah Boakai upon his arrival at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny airport.

President Boakai and his aides then proceeded to the presidential palace in Plateau, Abidjan, where President Alassane Ouattara handed him over.

The head of state of Ivory Coast declared that both Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire had made great progress and promised the backing of his administration in areas such as power, agriculture, peace, and security.

As the first country he visited on official business following his election in 2023, President Alassane Ouattara also conveyed his sincere gratitude and admiration to President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr. and the people of Liberia.

In terms of agriculture, electricity, development, peace and security, and other areas, the president of Liberia reiterated the readiness and commitment of his government to collaborate with Côte.

The degree of growth that Côte d’Ivoire has attained in recent years was praised by him and his counterpart.

President Boakai expressed gratitude to President Alassane Ouattara and the Ivorians for hosting the just concluded African Cup of Nations and for winning it.
