GOL removes 28 Central Bank Employees From Travel Ban

MONROVIA:  Several Central Bank Liberia (CBL) employees have been removed from the Travel restriction placed on them by the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Justice.

According to report, 28 individuals were removed from the travel ban during  the weekend.

More than 35 former and current Employees of the Central Bank of Liberia were placed on the Travel restrictions few months ago for being  in connection to the missing 16-Billion Liberian Dollars saga.

Initially, six persons were removed from the ban, including Mr. Robert Sirleaf, son of ex-president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

The government’s action comes as a result of an application to the Monrovia City Court seeking to revoke their previous Petition against the 28 CBL employees consistent with law.

Meanwhile,  ten (10)  employees of the CBL including former CBL governor Milton Weeks and a Lebanese businessman George Abi Jaoudi remain on the traveling restriction.
