Good news for the National Soccer team of Liberia, the Lone Star as FIFA provides one million United States Dollars (US$1,000,000) to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) to cover travel and accommodation of the national teams.
FIFA is also making available an additional two hundred thousand United States Dollars (US$200,000) to purchase training equipment for players of the national teams (Lonestar of Liberia).
According to FIFA’s Forward 3.0, the contributions for travel will be released in four equal installments of two hundred fifty thousand United States Dollars (US$250,000) in January of every year, whilst those for equipment will be released in four equal installments of fifty thousand (US$50,000); both for the four-year cycle (2023-2026).

Recently, LFA in its release said FIFA has committed to developing football in Liberia in addition to the Forward 3.0 Program.
The news comes days after Lone Star’s new coach, Ansu Keita named a 25-man provisional squad (home-based) to begin preparation for double-headed Africa’s Nations Cup qualifiers with Bafana Bafana next month.
Liberia will face South Africa in an away fixture on March 24 in Johannesburg with the return leg taking place on March 28, 2023, at the Samuel Kanyon doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.
