House Speaker Dr. Bhofal Chambers to visit British Parliament for Possible Investment opportunities

Monrovia: The British Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary has extended an invite to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Bhofal Chambers to visit the British Parliament in efforts to kindle a special relationship with the Liberian Legislature and explore other means with British Investors for possible investment opportunities in the Liberian economy.

Ambassador David Belgrove paid a visit to the office of Speaker Chambers recently in efforts of the United Kingdom to strengthen ties with the Liberian Government for the good of their respective peoples.

Ambassador Belgrove says “My country and Liberia have long standing ties” , making reference to the pages of history, when Great Britain as a country and an influential European nation, being one of the few countries in the world, during the mid-parts of the 18-hundreds that recognized Liberia’s independence more than 150-years ago.

Ambassador Belgrove furthers “The United Kingdom government takes cognizance of the level of strives the Liberian people have endured in efforts to better their democracy and the challenges of the Liberian government in meeting the aspiration of the citizens who are yielding for development.”

The British Envoy concluded his assertion during the meeting with Speaker Chambers, when He extended an invitation to for the visitation of Speaker Chambers to the United Kingdom Parliament aimed at strengthening ties between the two lawmaking bodies and the possible lobbying with British Investors to do business in Liberia.

In response, Speaker Chambers informed the British Envoy that he takes due acceptance of what Amb. Belgrove proffered and assured the British statesman, that the Legislature looks forward to strengthening ties with the British Parliament and considers the meeting as step in a positive direction for a positive sum effect.

Speaker Chambers assured Amb. Belgrove that he looks forward to visiting London soon to address several other issues in making sure that the two law making bodies strengthen cooperation in the best interest of their respective peoples.
