LIBERIAN LAW MAKER WANTS EX-PRESIDENT SON INVESTIGATED OVER OIL COMPANY BANKRUPTCY

MONROVIA,LIBERIA-Bomi County Senator Sando Johnson is calling on Robert Sirleaf to submit himself for investigation due to his alleged involvement into the economic failure of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL).

Senator Johnson wants the Son of Ex-Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and others who were caught in audit report for financial malpractice at NOCAL go through investigation.

He noted that for Madam Sirleaf to assume the responsibility of financial backwardness at the Oil Company speaks to her son involvement into the breakdown of the institution.

In conversation with OK News Tuesday, February 27, the  Bomi County Senator furthered that crime is not transferable and as such Mr Sirleaf should face justice to exonerate himself from public outcry.

”Former President  Ellen Johnson Sirleaf investigated and prosecuted several public officials who were engaged  in acts of corruption but did not include her son Robert Sirleaf who headed NOCAL until it went bankrupt; it is time that the son of the former president be made available for investigation and if found guilty, should be penalize, he added”.

He disclosed that he will forward a communication to President Weah to constitute a committee to further ascertain the breakdown of NOCAL.
