Monrovia,Liberia:The President of Liberia George Weah and an array of government officials on Wednesday had lunch at a local cook-shop in Monrovia.
The unprecedented lunch event was also attended by the first lady, Clar Weah and former Education Minister George Warner.
Meanwhile, the president’s move to have lunch at a low level cook-shop has been greeted with mixed reactions. Some Liberians described the move as being in support of the government’s pro-poor agenda while others believe that the presidency should not be subjected in such manner.
Following the action by the President, several top officials were also seen sharing lunch with ordinary Liberians at the cook-shop.
