LMA President appeals for potential marketers license of Import Permit Declaration

By  Varney Dukuly

Monrovia,Liberia: The President of the Liberia Marketing Association Alice Yeban is appealing to President George Weah to grant potential marketers license of Import Permit Declaration (IPD).

The IPD gives business entrepreneurs residing in the country the right to import goods on the Liberian Market.

Speaking recently in the City of Paynesville Madam Yeban noted that the lack of import permit declaration for marketers is gradually impeding the competitive efforts of Liberian businesses in the country.

She said some local goods like onion are sold at high cost and purchased in US dollars by Liberian business men and women from their foreign business counterparts.

Madam Yeban wants the Liberian leader to intervene in order to ease the burden facing the Liberian business community.
