“I Will Be President For Everyone,” President Boakai Reveals

Monrovia, Liberia – The 26th president of Liberia, Joseph Nyumah Boakai, has reiterated his pledge to serve as leader for all Liberians, regardless of political affiliation. It is time for the nation to come together in order to secure a better Liberia, according to Boakai, who made his inaugural statement on Monday, January22, 2024, at the grounds of the Capitol Building during the inauguration ceremony.

“I really believe that we have been on this path for far too long and that it is time for us to take a different direction today.Instead of continuing to create an impenetrable state that is insensitive to the needs and aspirations of the majority of Liberians but only to those in power, that transformation will occur when we come together and collaborate in nation-building.”

“I am therefore extending a hand of cooperation and peace to my political opponents, knowing the common bond between us is “Liberia” and the need to harness its potential for the good of its people.”

As it is said, “We cannot succeed separately; we must collaborate.” I am therefore promising all Liberians that I will serve as President for everyone, regardless of whether or not you voted for me, as well as your social and economic standing, party affiliation, county, gender, and area.”

Between so-called “Green Liberia” and “Blue Liberia,” “Southeastern Liberia” and “North Central Liberia,” there is no competition. One Liberia, and only one! We’re citizens in common,” President Boakai announced.
