Monrovia, Liberia – Punch TV’s official Facebook page recently posted something stating that Senator Nathaniel McGill controls LIBENERGY. McGill, a senator from Margibi County, called this untrue, unsubstantiated, and a calculated attempt to damage his character.
The media outlet asserted that in April 2023, Mr. Monie Captan, the CEO of the Liberia Electricity Corporation, deliberately engaged into a joint venture business deal for the organization purportedly owned by Senator McGill for the Southeastern Power Grid Asset Management deal for Liberia.
The former minister of state for presidential affairs, who is currently a senator from Margibi, stated in a news release late on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, that he has no company called LIBENERGY and that he has no business arrangement with either the LEC or Mr. Captan.
Senator McGill called on the media to get in touch with his office to get his side of the story before publishing such baseless, nefarious, and evil accusations, while also pleading with the public to reject the full fabrication.
The politician also demanded proof from Punch FM and TV management proving he is LIBENERGY’s owner.
According to Senator McGill, he will not be sidetracked by the ploys of these critics and will continue to be transparent and devoted to the Liberian people.
