Senator Johnson Characterize Creation of War and Economic Crimes Court as Attempt to bring back worst Days of Liberia’s past

Monrovia, Liberia – More than forty senators signed a bill supporting the creation of the war and economic crimes court, which Senator Prince Johnson characterizes as an attempt to revive the nation’s worst moments.

Talking on Tuesday On the Truth breakfast show in Monrovia, Senator Prince Johnson stated over the phone that while he is not concerned about the court’s formation, it will have unfavorable effects.

Senator Johnson continued by saying that they will respond to the judicial system directly as former generals from Nimba and other regions of the nation.

He also accused Allan White of being the driving force behind the talks that led to the creation of the court, claiming that Allan White is not an official of the United States but rather a man who travels from one nation to another in search of funds to instigate conflict in underdeveloped African nations like Liberia.

He claimed that the government is claiming that parliamentarians signed a resolution authorizing the establishment of a war crime court in exchange for the Boakai administration obtaining $300 million in US cash.

Concurrently, a resolution advocating for the creation of a War and Economic Crimes Court has been unanimously signed by more than forty members of Congress.

Representative Yekeh Kolubah, three additional Representatives, and Representative Sumo Mulbah of Montserrado County District #3 are co-sponsors of the resolution, which was signed on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
