President Boakai Appoints Gov’t officials

Monrovia, Liberia – A number of high-profile appointments have been made by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to positions in government, including those of Minister of Finance, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Advisor to the President on National Security, Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, and Secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Education, Health, the National Drug Enforcement Agency, and Agriculture.

Boima S. Kamara, Minister of Finance

Sylvester M. Griffin, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs

Former Public Works and Labor Minister Samuel Kofi Woods appointed as Advisor to the President on National Security

Col. Gregory Coleman as Inspector General of the Liberia National Police designate.

Sam Gaye, Director of the Executive Protection Agency

Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah, Minister of Agriculture

Mr. Amin Modad, Minister of Commerce & Industry

Dr. Jarso Jallah Saygbe, Minister of Education

Dr. Louise Kpoto, Minister of Health

Mr. Dorbor Jallah, Commissioner General, Liberia Revenue Authority

Mr. Abraham K. Kromah, Director General – Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency

Ms. Kula Bonah Nyei Fofana as Presidential Press Secretary.

The nominations made late Wednesday and Thursday are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
