Defense Minister Designate Demands Pay Increases for Military Personnel

Monrovia, Liberia – Rtd. General Prince C. Johnson ll, President Boakai’s nomination for minister of defense, has pledged to rally the senate in favor of increasing army personnel pay.

According to him, arrears should be commensurate with educational background because AFL men and women nowadays have the highest levels of education.

The former chief of staff made the call Tuesday when he remarked at the end of a day-long symposium organized by the Armed Forces of Liberia under the theme “The Armed Forces of Liberia Commitment to Sustainable Democracy in Contemporary Time”.
