MONROVIA: An eighteen year-old Liberian is seeking the intervention of President George Weah and philanthropists to assist him seek medical attention abroad.
Narrating the situation, Thomas Jefferson said he woke up one earlier morning and experienced an itch on his left eye, thus leading to his current condition, saying he has been advised to seek operation in India or the United States of America.
Thomas said his parents cannot afford the cost associated with the operation.
I came from bed one morning and just felt my eye itching. When I scratch it, it started developing. We went to several hospitals in Liberia and the doctors said my eye cannot be cure in Liberia, only in India or America.
I am appealing to anyone including the Government to come to my rescue and help my family to send me abroad for treatment.
Thomas’ left eye is experiencing serious inflammation.
His mother Etter Massah also appealed for humanitarian intervention to fly her son out of the country.
I want you to please help talk to the people. Either the president or other people like government officials or business people so my son can go out of the Country for this treatment.
