22 year old girl electrocuted in Grand Bassa County

Monrovia-A 22 year old girl identified as Florence Toby has died from electrocution in Grand Bassa County.

The incident, which occurred in the four Houses Community during the weekend, was due to misunderstanding between Florence Toby and her sister known as Handful Zeon over witch craft activities.

The argument later led to fighting between the two, at which time, Florence is said to have struck her sister in the face and was trying to escape, when she came across a current wire.

The brother of the two sisters, James Toby told police in the County that his sisters were accusing one another of being a witch.

Toby said the argument between his sisters started Friday evening, following their return from a graduation ceremony in Buchanan City.

The body of the late 22 year old Florence Toby has been deposited at a local funeral parlor in Buchana City while the survival Handful Zeon is currently seeking medication at the Arcellor Mittal Hospital in the County.

Meanwhile, Police in Buchanan City have invited for questioning, the owner of the current line which killed the 22 year old girl.

Since the Liberia  electricity corporation begun extension of its supply to other parts of the Country, there has been many reports of death and other incidents as many people are anxious  to receive current with some ignoring the effect of the electricity.
