Ex-AFL Soldiers Reject Brigadier General Francis Dolo as Head of National Bureau for Veteran Affairs

Monrovia-Ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces of Liberia have rejected the selection of Brigadier General Francis Dolo by the Ministry of National Defense to head the National Bureau for Veteran Affairs.

Recently, the a vetting committee set up by the Ministry of National Defense to select a management team for the veteran bureau recommended General Francis Dolo as Director General, Colonel Anthony Norphar, Deputy for Administration and Colonel Wolo Nagbe Deputy for Veteran Affairs.

 

Addressing a press conference in Monrovia Wednesday, September 12,2018, the Doyen of the Commanders of battalions and units of the ex-soldiers of the Armed, Colonel Alexander Geor disclosed that the ex- veterans have expressed a vote of no confidence in the newly selected leadership headed by General Dolo to serve the National Bureau for Veteran affairs.

 

When contacted by OK FM  via mobile phone on the claims, Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs Sam Collins said the Defense Ministry stands ready to work with the new leadership of the National Bureau of Veteran Affairs.

 

Assistant Minister Collins indicated that those selected were done in a transparent process by the vetting team without any influence from the Ministry of Defense.
