No Money for Grand Bassa Education Foundation Scholarship as Beneficiaries remain out of school

Monrovia-In the wake of the official opening of schools across Liberia, students of the Grand Bassa Education Foundation are yet to resume classes, due to lack of funding.

Authorities of the Grand Bassa Education Foundation have not released funds for students of the five administrative districts to enroll at various high schools and colleges in and out of the County.

More beneficiaries of the Foundation scholarship have not had access to their previous academic report cards for failure of the Foundation to settle financial obligation with various institutions.

The situation according to report has intensified as Students and parents are now raising serious concern about the situation.

Following a meeting with heads of the Foundation, Philip Johnson, who is the coordinator of the foundation scholarship said plans are they are closely being worked upon to address the situation in the shortest possible period.

 

The Grand Bassa Education Foundation which was previously handled by some student leaders of the County, is now being controlled by some past and president lawmakers of the County including other prominent Citizens.
