Foundation for International Dignity (FIND) is a pro-democracy and human Rights organization working to promote peace, good governance, the rule of law and access to justice in Liberia.

Funded by UNDP and the United Nations Office in Liberia, the day long dialogue was aimed at enhancing citizens understanding on the roles and responsibilities of the police and the justice system.

Speaking at the start of the forum, the National Program Officer of the Foundation for International Dignity, Aaron Juakollie cautioned citizens to take advantage of the Country’s Justice system.

Juakollie said his organization has observed over the years that many citizens are still unaware of the roles and responsibilities of Justice actors; a situation which leads to their engagement in violent activities.

The FIND Program boss encouraged attendees of the one day forum to enlighten the minds of their fellow citizens on the importance of the rule of law.

Also speaking, the commander of the Palala Police Deport, Morhafee Jarbateh, who explained the role of the Police extolled FIND and partners for the dialogue.

Jarbateh said the dialogue will serve as an eye opener for citizens in that part of the country as they understand the roles and responsibilities of the police and other law enforcers.

For their part, attendees of the forum expressed delight over the discussion admitting that they have been enlightened on the importance of the rule of law.

They promised to inform their respective neighbors on the significance of justice system in the nation’s recovery process.
