The Liberia Leader said it is unbelievable for a child who is under eighteen years to be charge for rape, man slaughter and arm robbery.

Also speaking, the Assistant Minister for Corrections & Rehabilitation, Eddie Trawalli recommended that the prison should be use as a place where all public school uniform, chairs and desk can be produce.

According to him, the monies generated from said project will contribute 75% to the budgetary allotment of the state and 24% use for prison sustenance so as to reduce the burden on the pro poor agenda.

Minister Trawalli also recommended that there is a need for another prison facility to be built so as to decongest the Monrovia Central Prison, noting that the prison was built to host three hundred inmates, but now holds one thousand plus inmates.
