Monrovia-OK FM has reliably learned that the Compliance Manger position at the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC) has been rendered nonessential to the entity.

The position which was headed by Amos Tweh, an executive of former governing Unity Party has been declared redundant for the first time since the establishment of the institution.
The Compliance Manager position which is said to be vital to the operation of the LPRC was reportedly rendered unnecessary due to political reasons.
Amos Tweh, a staunch critic of the Weah administration just returned from studies in the United Kingdom.
Few months after Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor threatened commissioners of Bong County, CDC’s Chairman Mulbah Morlu threatened the opposition community.
Speaking at the party headquarters, Morlu said the CDC would fight against nonpartisans who refuse to join the ruling establishment.
Morlu was heard saying “those who will not join the CDC, the party will fight you. Even if you are my brother, once you are not a member of this party, you are in the firing line; we will fight you. We will deconstruct your ability every day until you join the CDC,” he warned.
Critics believe a recent social media post by Amos Tweh rallying support of UP’s partisans for the democratic removal of the CDC led government following a six year rule must have provoked the termination of Amos Tweh’s service at the LPRC.
Tweh indicated in the post that the current administration under President Weah was failing terribly.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Manager of the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company, William Morris has confirmed the termination of Amos Tweh’s services at the entity.
Morris in a telephone interview with this station termed as untrue and unfortunate, claims that Tweh was dismissed based on the non-essentiality of the entity’s Compliance Department.
According to the PR Manager, the Compliance department was degraded to a section due to administrative reasons.
He said the former employee, Amos Tweh has been directed to the department of Human Resources for the processing of benefits if any in line with the Civil Service Standing Order.
