Monrovia-Authorities at the Ministry of Commerce have closed down the Mukesh Shopping Center in Vai Town for time indefinite for selling “unhealthy” food products to the people of Liberia.

The Mukesh Shopping Center which is owned and operated by Lebanese, closure comes in the wake of a hint by some concerned consumers about the unhygienic condition of its Warehouse.

Our reporter who toured the Mukesh food storage Warehouse along with Commerce Inspectors observed the spill of feces on some consumable products like Biscuit, onions among others.

According to him feces oozing from the Warehouse of the Mukesh food Center are dangerous to the health of consumers in the country.

Addressing a team of reporters, Commerce Inspector General Josephine Davies asserted that the action of the Mukesh Shopping Center is tantamount to a fine.

Madam Davies has meanwhile cautioned Liberians to help the Ministry of Commerce in exposing those selling unwholesome products on the Liberian market.
