Bomi County Senator Sando Johnson is calling on President George Weah to dissociate himself from individuals who are bent on amassing wealth at the disadvantage of the ordinary Liberians.
According to the Bomi County Lawmaker, there are individuals closer to the president who are wrongfully advising him and are making him to take decisions that are not in the interest of the country.
He named Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, Finance and Development Planning Minister, Samuel Tweh and Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Koijee as some of the individuals who are misleading the Liberian leader in making decisions that are detrimental to the growth and development of Liberia.
Senator Johnson who is one of the lead organizers of the pending anti-government protest which is scheduled for June 7 this year further claimed that the president has surrounded himself with crooks and economic scavengers who could strangulate the country and leave the masses wallops in perpetual poverty.
He said if Liberia must move forward, it is about time that President Weah muster the courage and political will to do away with individuals, he consider as belly driven, and take decisions that will be in the interest of the country.
So, we want to play our part as patriots to go to the president and say Mr. President, we believed that these individuals must be out of Government, that these individuals are the prime cause of what we going though.
I am talking about Ministers Samuel Tweh, Nathaniel Mcgill, including Monrovia City mayor Jefferson Koijee, and other people around him.
They are taking the Country as their personal property.
And some of the things they do, am not sure the president is aware of it.
If President Weah no more president of this country, those people around will disown him, like it has been done to past leaders.
Commenting on the pending protest, the Bomi County Senator said, the sit in protest action is not against the government neither against the president but to reinforce the call of the masses.
Senator Johnson made these comments Monday, April 15,2019 at his Capitol Building Office.
