Monrovia-Several contractors of the Liberia Services Corporations Incorporated Tuesday staged a peaceful protest at the Monrovia City Corporation, calling for the MCC administration to handle the affairs of City Parking in the country.

The contractors, who were heard chanting slogans and holding placards with inscription “MCC we need your intervention”, also complained of bad labor practice being meted against them while on the job.

The Spokesman of the group, Landry Bedell said the management of the Liberia Services Corporation Incorporated is allegedly using them for long period of time with little salary.

He wants the MCC administration headed by Mayor Jefferson Koijee to take charge of City Parking initiatives and not the Liberia Services Corporation Incorporated.

In brief remarks, Mayor Koijee thanked the protesters for being peaceful in channeling their disagreement.

Koijee however promised that the MCC will look into their petition and find an amicable solution to the problem.

The Youthful Mayor stressed that anything that tends to bring sorrow to the people of Liberia will be highly resisted under his watch as agent of the President.

Meanwhile the management of the Liberia Services Corporation Incorporated has described the protest action as being politically motivated.

The spokesman of LSCI Emmanuel Gasuah further rubbished the allegation of bad labor practices at the institution.
