Grand Cape Mount and Nimba Counties moved to quarter finals of Counties meet

Monrovia,Liberia:Grand Cape Mount and Nimba County were the only double winners in the first fixture of 2017-2018 edition of the County Meet.

Nimba defeated closed door neighbor Grand Gedeh in both kickball and football in Grange, Bong County.

In Kickball 6-0 home runs and football one goal to zero while host Bong lost a Kickball match to neighbor Lofa 6-3 home runs and secure a hard fought 2-1 win in group-A.

Cape mount whipped Gbarpolu County 5-2 home runs in Kickball and two goals to zero in football in group-c.

In group B in Buchanan City Grand Bassa County, host Bassa lost a kickball match to little Rivercess and manager a win in football by the same score line.

Another match in the same group, Champions Montserrado was well beaten by Margibi in kickball 6-1 home runs and a zero all draw in the football category.

In group D, host Sinoe stated on a bad note,  losing to Grand Kru one zero in football 1-0 and got defeated in Kickball while Maryland and River gee settle a zero all draw in football a got a win Kickball.

Meanwhile the competition continues at the same venues.

In group-A, Lofa will take on Nimba in both Kickball and Football while Grand Gedeh play host Bong in the same categories.

Rivercess takes on Champions Montserrado in both kickball and football and Margibi end the day’s activities with host Bassa in kickball and football in group-B.

Bomi County will lock horn with host Cape in group C, in football and kickball, a win or a for Cape mount in football will see them progress to the quarter finals in Monrovia.

Grand Kru plays Maryland in both kickball and football while host Sinoe will be hoping to secure a win against River Gee to stands a chance for the quarter finals qualification after a defeat to Grand Kru in the first fixture.
