Kwame Ofori Asomaning: Liberia Needs to do more in the area of Agriculture

 

Monrovia-The Chief Executive Officer of Gold Financial Holdings, a subsidiary of a broad based multinational company, GroupeNduom has identified agriculture as an opportunity for fast growth of the Liberian economy.

Kwame OforiAsomaning said the production of rice and cash crops will help to reduce the high importation of food items into the country.

According to him, agriculture, manufacturing and communication are among the huge opportunities prevailing in the sub-region of which Liberia is no exception.

Mr. Asomaning made the statements in an exclusive interview with OK FM in Monrovia on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

As the head of an investment company in GroupeNduom, Kwame reiterated the commitment of GroupeNduom to support diverse investments in Liberia;

“I have always had the mind that Liberia is a good place to Invest, and we believed that any investment is a seed, and so, we are working towards value creation. We are hoping to find more opportunities that excite us for further investments”.

For the extension of GroupeNduom operations in rural Liberia, Mr. Asomaning highlighted the need to hire and train more people including those in the rural areas so that citizens will benefit from an employment and also good customer service. It will also encourage other investors to set up businesses in the communities.

Commenting on the recent Best Radio Station Award won by OK FM, he said he is proud of the radio station. He however, challenged staff of the institution to uphold high level of professionalism if they must receive future awards.

While promising GroupeNduom’s unflinching support to the radio station, Kwame OforiAsomaning thanked employees of the media entity, including its supporters for the cordial working relations.

“Every Body is expiring to win some form of award; now that OK FM has won this award, don’t remain complacent; it should be an award that you will win every year and even if there is anything more to come”.
