Monrovia,Liberia:The head of Secretariat of the Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, Gabriel Nyenkan has dismissed the Deputy Head of Secretariat Mr. Myer Saye.
The dismissal comes amidst controversy surrounding the appointment of Gabriel Nyenkan.
The letter of dismisaal in the possession of this station states that Mr. Saye letter of appointment is terminated pending Presidential action to reconstitute the Multi-Stakeholder Group MSG.
The Controversial LEITI head Gabriel Nyenkan has however confirmed the dismissal of his deputy.
However it remains unclear whether Mr. Gabriel Nyenkan has the authority to dismiss the deputy head of Secretariat.
Section 6.3d of the LEITI act gives the Multi Stakeholder Group (MSG) the right to recruit the head and deputy head of Secretariat.
