Liberia media hit with second death in couple of days

Monrovia-The Press Union of Liberia is mourning the death of its former President Abdullah Kamara barely a day after the murder of Journalist Tyron Brown of Super Communications.

The death news of Mr Kamara shocked many media colleagues and the entire nation early Tuesday Morning after falling unconscious and later rushed to the Phebe Hospital in Bong County.

According to Medical sources Journalist Abdulla Kamara death is due to Cardiovascular or Cerebrovascular accident, meaning he came down with stroke.

The former PUL President who served the union from 2014 to 2016 was later defeated by Charles Cuffey in a democratic election held in Ganta, Nimba County.

Abdullah Kamara, a veteran Liberian Journalist will also be  missed for his exceptional writing skills in project proposal and his role play in helping to train young Liberian journalists.

Meanwhile family members and journalists are expected to depart Monrovia Wednesday for Grand Cape Mount County for the burial of Mr Kamara who is a Muslim.

Veteran media professional Frank Sainworla paid tribute to the fallen KAK as he was affectionately called on the OK Afternoon Conversation.
