UNMIL Donates DNA Machine to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital

Monrovia,Liberia: The United Nations Missions in Liberia on Tuesday Donated a DNA Machine to the Government of Liberia through the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital.

The machine is also expected to produce scientific evidence in dealing with perpetrators of rape.

Speaking at the event, a representative of the office of the High commission for Human Rights commended the Government of Liberia for improvement in the justice system.

Uchenne Emelonye said the UN system in Liberia appreciates Liberia for the establishment of a specialized court to try sexual and Gender based violence through the special prosecution unit at the Justice Ministry.

For his part the Chief Administrator of the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital Dr Jerry Browne commended UNMIL for the timely gesture and promised that the machine will be used for its intended purpose.

The donation of the DNA machine was done on Tuesday,April 10,2018 on the Compound of the Medical Hospital.
