Monrovia,Liberia: The Country Representative of Groupe Nduom to Liberia has reassured the company’s commitment to empower Liberian businesses through investment in sustainable business transactions.
Ambrose Houphouet said the Liberian Enterprise Finance and Development Company (LEFDC), which is a non-bank financial institution renders technical assistance and provides loans to small and medium size business institutions in Liberia.
According to him, the establishment of GN Bank and LEDFC in Liberia is part of Groupe Nduom’s financial inclusion strategy which is gradually spreading its branches to rural parts of Liberia.
The Groupe Nduom Country representative to Liberia also encouraged Liberians to make used of the Liberia Enterprise Development Finance company (LEDFC), GN Bank and the Kendeja resorts, adding that these institutions are meant to improve businesses and meet the needs of Liberians.
Ambrose Houphouet has meanwhile stated that GN Bank Ghana has received 20 million US dollars from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) to support its 27 million dollar expansion project.
While expressing confidence of GN Bank Liberia benefiting from similar amount, Houphouet said the amount will be use to address the challenges of access to safe banking and finance for poor and rural people across Ghana, through the provision of banking services in remote areas.
He is optimistic that when GN Bank Liberia receives similar funding from OPIC it will benefit poor and rural people across Liberia.
