Tens of people made homeless by crushing storm in Maryland and Grand Bassa Counties”

Monrovia- More than fifty people have been made homeless as a result of heavy down-pour of rain in Pleebo Sodokeh District, Maryland County.

The homeless residents mainly from the Zone #4 community are currently seeking shelter at the residence of family members, friends and relatives.

At the same time, about 35 persons of the Dirt Hole and Peace communities in Grand Bassa County were also affected as a result of the heavy rain fall.

According to reports, residents of the communities are blaming what they call the substandard culverts used in the various drainages by Arcelor Mittal in the County.

The homeless residents of both Maryland and Grand Bassa County are appealing to Government and other humanitarian organizations to help them out.
