A Woman, 33 has been sent to prison for allegedly beating her five year old foster daughter to death.

According to Police investigation, Melissa Tokpah, a resident of 72 Community, grew interest to keep the child when the victim’s mother Martha Barkoun was still pregnant with her in 2014.
Investigations furthered, after giving birth, Barkoun turned the Victim Blessing Johnson over to the defendant as guardian at one year six months.
The LNP investigation said, defendant Melissa Tokpah allegedly locked the victim up in the room and begun to beat on her until she became helpless on grounds that she defecated on herself.
The defendant has been charged with Manslaughter and sent to the Monrovia Central Prison, awaiting court trial.
