Liberian striker William Jebor has completed his return to Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca on a free transfer deal after terminating his contract with Al Nassr KSA four months ago.
Jebor had joined Wydad in summer 2016 from Portuguese side Rio Ave and had a successful campaign with the Moroccan side where he was named the Moroccan first division top scorer with 19 goals.
Jebor, who has signed a three-year deal, added: “This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to.”
Manager said Faouzi Benzarti the Liberian international could be “the heart of the club” for the next decade and Jebor becomes Wydad’s third signing this summer after Tunisia’s Oussama Darragi and Nigerian forward Michael Babatunde.
The announcement was made by the Arches just after 00:30 BST on Monday, with a glossy video showing the player – with the club famous Red shirt – emerging from the shadows.
Afterwards, the 26-year-old forward agreed a three-year contract with Al Nassr a year later, however Jebor’s spell in Saudi Arabia did not witness the coveted success as he only featured in 11 matches in the Saudi Professional League in his first six months with Al A’alamy, before they decided to rescind the former Tala’a El-Gaish striker’s contract by mutual consent. He has made eight appearances for Al Nassr , scoring 3 times , and terminating his contract with Al Nassr KSA four months ago, after mutual agreement.
The CAF Champions League title holders have finalised the signing of Jebor on Monday for an undisclosed fee after team coach FaouziBenzarti requested the signing of a striker.
