The National Election Commission has certificated the two winners in the Nimba and Bong Counties District four 2017 Election.

The certification of Gunpue Kargon and Robert Womba was held after they won separate cases filed by their major contenders.

Speaking at the certification program held at the NEC headquarters on Monday, NEC chairman Jerome Kokoyah extended appreciation to the Supreme Court for the vital role played in adjudicating the case.

The NEC boss has meanwhile called on the National Legislature through the Clerk to settle salary and benefits for Representatives Robert Womba and Gunpue Kargon for the period during the dispute hearing.

Meanwhile, the two candidates have vowed to work in the interest of their various Counties.

Representative Womba said his priority is to unite the people of his county to have an inclusive working atmosphere.

For his part, Representative Kargon commended the Supreme Court for the fairness applied in settling the matter.
