Anthony Quadria Claims MVP as Lofa Wins Second Straight County Meet Basketball Title

Anthony Quadria, popularly known as Jump-Man, delivered an outstanding performance to lead Lofa County to its second consecutive basketball championship at the National County Sports Meet.

The Mighty Barrolle prospect dominated the 2025/2026 basketball competition, earning two major honors—Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Highest Scorer—after amassing an impressive 96 points throughout the tournament.

Lofa sealed the title with a thrilling 96–95 victory over Nimba County in an action-packed grand final played on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the SKD Gymnasium in Paynesville.

With this triumph, Lofa County has now secured two football, two kickball, and two basketball titles in the history of the National County Sports Meet.

In the third-place playoff, Grand Bassa County defeated Montserrado County 69–62 to claim the bronze medal.

Several players and officials were also recognized for exceptional performances during the tournament.

Blessing Nah of Lofa County led all players in steals with 12, while Hadrian Segwe of Montserrado County excelled in playmaking and defense, winning Highest Assists (15) and Highest Blocks (9).

Albert Fahnbulleh of Lofa County was named Best Coach, and Amadu Sesay of Nimba County earned the Best Rebounder award with an impressive 66 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Nimba County emerged overall champions of the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet, securing their seventh County Meet title and maintaining their status as the competition’s most successful county.

In the football grand final, Nimba defeated Grand Kru County two goals to nil, with team captain Josiah Cea being named Most Valuable Player of the football competition.

Also Grand Cape Mount forward, Ralph Weah of Tebeh FC claimed the Young Player award as Nimba County Coach, Mamadee Sheriff was voted as the best Coach.

The Best defender award went to Grand Kru County’s Andrew Dennis.

In the kickball category, Margibi County claimed the championship after defeating Grand Cape Mount County in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Grand Cape Mount later secured third place in football with a 2–1 victory over Margibi, while Nimba County also claimed third place in kickball following a 1–0 home-run win over Grand Kru.
