Monrovia, Liberia – August 22, 2025 — The Cestos Mogars Basketball Club has officially entered into a one-year sponsorship agreement with the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies, marking a significant milestone in the growth and commercial development of the club.
The deal, which took effect on August 15, 2025, will run through August 31, 2026.
Valued at LD 300,000, the partnership includes comprehensive financial support, branding opportunities, and collaborative marketing efforts.
The agreement is designed to bolster both the visibility of the basketball club and Bukonjadeh’s corporate brand, underscoring a shared commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and the advancement of sports in Liberia.
As part of the sponsorship package, the Bukonjadeh Group’s logo will be prominently displayed on the Mogars’ official game jerseys, warm-up apparel, and team banners.
The branding will be visible both at home games and during away matches, providing significant exposure for the company throughout the national basketball season.
In addition to traditional branding, the deal also includes a series of co-branded advertising campaigns, joint social media promotions, and active participation in community and team events.
These initiatives are aimed at deepening fan engagement and creating a stronger link between corporate stakeholders and the sporting community.
Cestos Mogars CEO Malcolm Joseph hailed the sponsorship as a “major breakthrough” for the club, noting that the partnership will help elevate the team’s profile and provide essential resources for operations, training, and youth outreach.
“This sponsorship is not just about funding—it’s about belief. Bukonjadeh’s support reflects growing confidence in the Mogars’ mission to build a strong, disciplined, and community-rooted basketball culture,” Joseph said.
Bukonjadeh CEO Elton Johns emphasized the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility, particularly in the areas of youth development and sports.
“At Bukonjadeh, we believe in investing in the future of Liberia, and our partnership with Cestos Mogars aligns perfectly with that vision. Sports are a powerful tool for positive change, and we’re proud to be part of this journey,” Johns stated.
The sponsorship agreement was formally signed at a brief but symbolic ceremony, with Team President Sondifu Sarnor representing the Mogars and CEO Elton Johns signing on behalf of Bukonjadeh.
The event was attended by team staff, media personnel, and representatives from both organizations.
This collaboration reflects a growing trend of private sector involvement in Liberian sports, where corporate investment is increasingly seen as a catalyst for infrastructure development, talent cultivation, and professional competitiveness.
As the Cestos Mogars gear up for the upcoming basketball season, the partnership with Bukonjadeh is expected to bring renewed energy and ambition to the team—on and off the court.
