DC United midfielder Ansu Donso has been named in head coach Cooper Sannah’s 32-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2025 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) U-20 Boys Cup, set to take place in Ghana.
Donso, who turned heads with his standout performances in the LFA Clado 3rd Division League, played an instrumental role for his club and has since emerged as one of Liberia’s top young prospects. His selection has drawn praise from sports analysts and journalists, who have hailed the decision by the technical staff as a step in the right direction. Tournament Overview
The 2025 WAFU U-20 Boys Cup will run from June 15 to June 30, 2025 in Ghana. This inaugural edition of the tournament will feature all 16 West African nations from WAFU Zones A and B, including regional heavyweights such as Nigeria, Senegal, and host country Ghana.
Group stage and preliminary matches will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, while the final will be staged at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra.
