Wologizi FC’s Francis Doe scored a decisive penalty as Lofa County beat Margibi 5-4 on post-match penalties to qualify for the grand final of the 2024/2025 National County Sports Meet football version on Thursday at SKD in semifinal two.

The regular time and extra 30 minutes of play ended 1-1 before the match was decided on penalties.
Weintown FC’s Tito Yoto put Margibi ahead in the 51st minute before LISCR FC’s Emmanuel Flomo equalized for the Wologizi boys 9 minutes later.
However, Margibi County was the better side in the first half. Had it not been for missing several golden chances, they would have been victorious.
But Coach Kollie Korvy’s boys will now take on Grand Gedeh County, who defeated Maryland 3-2 on Wednesday in the grand final on Sunday.
The Wologizi boys were the defeated finalists in the last edition. They lost to Rivergee County in a post-match penalty after regulation time ended 1-1.
On the other hand, Grand Bassa and Grand Kru will meet in the grand final of the kickball version.
Grand Bassa got better off Grand Gedeh in the other semifinal on Thursday, while Grand Kru whipped Bong County 6-3 home runs on Wednesday.
