The National Lottery Kickball National League 2025 kicks Off On March 8, After a 2.7 million LRD Sponsorship Deal

The National Lottery Kickball National League 2025 kicked off on March 8, 2025, at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville City with scores of matches.
It was followed by a season sponsorship deal with the National Lottery Authority worth 2.7 million Liberian dollars to be paid in three installments.

The deal was signed on Friday, March 7, 2025, in Monrovia as the National Lottery Authority Director General, Reginald Nagbe, signed on behalf of the organization, while Emmanuel Surprise Whea, President of the Liberia Kickball Federation, signed on behalf of the federation.
The league kicked off with a grand parade from the ELWA Junction to the SKD with an out-door program that followed with a hosting of the National Lottery Authority Flag, the official sponsor of the National Kickball League, before the on-field activities.

During the on-field activities, Liberia’s oldest kickball club, Girls of Aries, was among the clubs that secured those victories on day one after securing 2-1 home runs over Destiny Girls.
Also Grand Bassa County-based, GISA and Community Youth Empowerment (CYE) settled a 0-0 draw while Leela Kickball Club defeated United Sisters 5-2 home runs.
At the same time, the Liberia Kickball Federation, through its secretariat, in consultation with the competition committee and stakeholders, has suspended Samuel Harris and Samuel Dadzie for two months from all Kickball-related activities.

The LKF leadership is also asking other referees or match officials to be more focused and professional in handling future matches.
The release further stated that the decision of suspension of Samuel Harris and Samuel Dadzie is to serve as deterrence to other referees.
According to the LKF released, it followed an alleged poor officiating and poor interpretation of the laws of the game in a match between Girls of Aries and Destiny Girls on March 9, 2025, at the SKD Sports Complex Kickball pitch.
The LKF Secretariat has also slapped Emmanuel Weedee-Conway, President of Destiny Girls, with five thousand Liberian dollars fined for an alleged use of foul language on the umpire and the leadership of the Liberia Kickball Federation.
Mr. Conway has been asked to pay the fine within forty-eight hours as of March 9, 2025, at 6:25 pm.
