Sinoe County Sports team termination of goalkeeper Marvin Sumo and trainer Cladius Parjibo services following a 2-1 defeat to Lofa sparked huge debate in the County among Residents

Report says, residents of Sinoe County are divided over the decision of the County’s Sports Steering Committee headed by Crayton Duncan to have terminated the services of goalkeeper Marvin Sumo and goalkeeper trainer Claudius Parjibo alias Hundred.

The Sinoe County Sports Steering Committee accused both goalkeeper Marvin Sumo and goalkeeper trainer Claudius Parjibo of match fixing.

Accordingly, both individuals left the Sinoe team’s camp in Lexington and visited Lofa county camp in other to compromise the game which resulted into a 2-1 defeat for Sinoe on Wednesday in Group-C of the 2024/2025 National County Sports meet in Greenville City.

Following the termination of both individual’s services, some residents used their facebook pages to vent their angers terming the decision of the County’s Sports Steering Committee as unfair.

According to them, they are falsely accusing the goalkeeper and his training on grounds that the goalkeeper performance was brilliant during their 2-0 win over Rivercess County. Accusing him of selling the match against Lofa because of the 2-1 defeat is unfortunate on the part of the County’s Sports team.

On the other hand, goalkeeper Marvin Sumo accused the technical team headed by Coach Bra Dixon.

According to him, Coach Dixon was under the influenced of alcohol which play pivotal role in the team’s defeat.

He made the statement when he appeared on a local radio station (Liberty radio) in Sinoe County a day following the match.
Meanwhile, Sinoe County Football team are a win or draw away from reaching a quarterfinal stage of the competition.

They will take on Gbarpolu County in their third match this weekend.

The Greenville boys are on 3-points from two matches after winning their opening match 2-0 against Rivercess before losing 2-1 to the Wolozisi boys of Lofa.

For the kickball team, its appeared over for them after losing two straight matches; 1-0 home run against Rivercess and 3-0 home runs against Lofa.
Both Lofa football and kickball teams are in a driving seat of qualifying to the quarterfinals with a win or draw in each of their matches.
They are on 4-points each from two matches after a win and a draw. The final show piece will be against Rivercess this weekend in the final round of matches.
