The former FC Fassell playmaker completed his move from Liberia’s first division champions, LISCR FC, after both clubs agreed on a permanent deal.
The Portuguese club posted on its official Facebook page after capturing the fast winger’s signature.
“Terrence is a reinforcement of Sanjoanense; the 20-year-old signed a valid contract for the season with Alvinegros thus increasing Sanjoanense’s attack options.”
The Liberian club also confirmed on the player’s departure on its website.
“We can confirm the departure of Terrence Tisdell to Portuguese club, Associação Desportiva Sanjoanense. Tisdell who was on loaned with Mozambican club Costa do Sol joined Sanjoanense on a permanent deal.”
The playmaker, who was recently called-up to the Lone Star squad by national team head coach Thomas Kojo for the upcoming AFCON 2019 qualifier against DR Congo on September 9, 2018, was outstanding in the 2017- 2018 Liberia league season for Fassell, scoring seven goals and providing thirteen assists in all competitions.
The winger joined LISCR FC after negotiations with FC Fassell but did not kick a ball for the Shipping Boys before his loan deal to Mozambican Capital Club Costa do Sol.
Tisdell’s stayed in Mozambique with Costa do Sol was massive as he won the Super Cup upsetting league champions Sporting Union 2-0 thus scoring and providing an assist.
The winger, who is known for his pace and skills on both side of the flanks caught the eyes of some of Europe’s clubs including Real Betis, who were interested in his signature before the deal reportedly collapsed.
Tisdell will be hoping to make an instant impact in order to secure a bigger deal with one of Europe elite clubs.
